Patients must through phone conversations or through actual consultation select the individual doctor that they wish to have perform any work. The IAOMT will only allow mercury-free dentists to become members. The IAOMT offers special training and provides protocols and procedures for accomplishing the safest possible removal of amalgam dental fillings. Beyond that, the responsibility lies with the patient to determine if the office, staff, and doctor meet with their approval
